Beloved Readers of the Trumpet: --In the providence of God I was present with the Valley Springs church, Llano county, at her last meeting, and found that the people there know the truth and love to attend church. These are a precious band of believers, and they are favored with the pastoral services of our beloved Eld. Ben Redford, a sound and able minister of the gospel. A few members of this church live 40 miles to the south in Gillespie county. To this place Bro. Ben with several others and myself proceeded to his monthly appointment near Cheery Springs. The meeting was fairly attended, and many gave plain evidence of their love for truth. The Lord's gracious presence humbled the hearts and sweetened the spiritual joys of the brethren and sisters; and I was glad to see them refrain from confusion, while their hearts were filled with silent rejoicing, and tears of love and gratitude coursed down their cheeks. One joined by letter, who will have to come 40 miles to meeting.

"Oh, praise the Lord, all ye nations: praise Him all ye people. For His merciful kindness is great toward us; and the truth of the Lord endureth forever. Praise ye the Lord."

M. D. DENMAN.
