Dear Brethren and Friends:--Our meetings at present are in a School House at Hooker, Beaver county, Okla., We desire to build a house for the worship of our God, and have our brethren from a distance visit us in a general or associational meeting.

How peculiar the providence of God! About one year ago I returned home from the south, finding with surprise my parents had arranged a move to Oklahoma. It was sad to leave home I loved, specially Cedar Grove church. Yet duty urged me, to come with my aged parents. So on bidding the dear brethren and of my home adieu, to go from them and from all the brethren of whom I was unworthy, I felt as if doomed to exile from the dear church of God in  this new country. Feeling sure it was God's hand taking me away from my beloved home church, I tried to be resigned. But since our Lord has planted this little church here, I feel to thank God and take courage. "Praise the Lord, oh, my soul." If not deceived it is our chief concern to serve or keep house for our dear Saviour, in spirit and in truth. "Who is sufficient for these things?” Our sufficiency is of God." Oh, brethren, pray for us that we may never bring reproach upon the church, that we may be "Kept by the power of God" from wrong doctrine and practice. So let us all watch and pray that we enter not into temptation of error on the right or left. Let no one conclude he is part divine and can live sinlessly pure, or that he is bound to do this or that sin, and "can't help it." Rather, my brethren, like Mary, constrained by the love Christ let us do what we can to check error and promote truth and holiness. Let us seek consecration to God. “Sanctify the Lord God" in our hearts by prayer, by reading the word of truth, by meditation, by charity. Through Christ we can pray, "avoid jesting," "be grave," or sincere, go to the church, worship God. Remember now is the accepted time. Let us "Work while it is called today, for the night cometh when no man can work.”

God bless you all, for Jesus sake. Let us  prayerfully read and obey Eph, vi. 10, 18. Pray for and visit us.

Yours in tender love.

Tyrone, Okla.        M.D. DENMAN.
