Loyal Obedience To Our Divine Husband PDF Print E-mail
Written by Moses Denman

Since Jesus our divine Husband has redeemed us from the curse of law, being made a curse for us, oh ! let us render loyal, loving obedience to Him. When national Israel intermarried or associated with the idolatrous nations, their sons and daughters were led away from the true worship of God, to take up with heathen customs. Likewise if we become wedded to or affiliate with the world: we too will be led away from the simplicity of the gospel, and soon be conformed to the world. This would be a state of things so sad, so injurious to the church as to almost break my heart. Oh! brethren, do let us continue to avoid joining with the denominations and varied institutions of the world. In loyal obedience let us hear and obey the inspired command, "Wherefore, come out from among them and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean things; and I will receive you and will be a father unto you; and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty." 2nd. Cor. vi. 14, 18.

Yours in love.
