Dear Brother Webb :--I desire to communicate to you and to all the holy brethren, some of the things I have lately seen, heard and felt. It was my pleasant lot to meet with Beulah church, Falls Co., last Saturday and Sunday. This is a lovely band of brethren and sisters, whom the Lord has abundantly blessed with pastors loving and zealous; with a membership who adorn the doctrine with a godly walk and conversation; and with the recent addition to the church of "such as He would have to be saved." Instead of jesting, and foolish or worldly minded talking, before the time of preaching came, they engaged in singing with the Spirit and understanding, "as becometh the gospel of Christ." Brothers Stewart and Allen, then preached with emotions of love and tenderness. During conference, Brother Free was ordained deacon and the hand of fellowship and encouragement was extended to him as deacon, and to Sister Free as deacon's wife. The permission was also given to those who desired to request that prayer be made to God for them, when several came forward, gave their hand and returned to their seats. The glory of God's grace shined in the hearts and beamed upon the faces of many present. These brethren have agreed to meet statedly between conference meetings, for prayer and praise; and I feel that God will continue to bless them; for "no good thing will He withhold from them who walk uprightly." "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength." This renewal of strength, I saw proven in the spiritual department of the members. One of the brethren remarked Saturday, that he enjoyed much more of the love and communion of God when he prays in his family, than when it is neglected. We all felt revived; and after going to rest, the Lord appeared to me by a sweet manifestation of His love in the solitary stillness of the night. Thus, I was encouraged to press on in faith and love, and my cup of inward sweet peace and joy was made to run over with praise and thankfulness to God for working in the hearts of His beloved church, the obedience of faith and love. Oh! dear brethren, let us praise the Lord. "Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord." Let us ever obey Jesus and abide in his love. Yours in much tribulation, M. D. DENMAN.
