Written by Moses Denman

Dear Bro. Webb: --Below I give part of a letter written by my father to his brother. His words are comforting to me and I trust they will be to you and to others also. May God bless you, Bro. Webb, and constrain us all to trust in Jesus alone for salvation and to obey Him from a sense of love. M.D. DENMAN.

THE LETTER.

I do feel to thank the Lord for His goodness and mercy to us poor fallen creatures. Let us humble ourselves under the mighty hand of the Lord. Let us read His Word and try prayerfully to square our lives by its teaching. Let us obey our blessed Lord's commands in all things to the best of our ability, remembering that without Him, "we can do nothing." I hope and pray that the Lord may bless us all and give strength and enable us to live and walk humbly and obediently in His holy commands.

I must say that Bro. Norman did preach a soul-cheering sermon on last Saturday. It was indeed a comforting sermon to me.

Hoping and praying that the Lord may bless us all with the presence of His Holy Spirit for Jesus' sake, I will close.

J. H. DENMAN.
