Luke ix. 52. Jesus sent messengers to a village of the Samaritans to make ready for Him, "And they did not receive Him." When James and John saw the village thus indifferent and unkind toward Jesus, they seemed to feel unkind in return, and to want the people punished. But Jesus rebuked them and said, "Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village." Luke ix. 56. So, my brethren, if any speak unkind toward you, do not use your precious time to reply, but so live, that none will believe the evil report. If any do not receive or really want you to speak, do not feel unkind toward them, but be meek and lowly in heart. Follow the steps of Jesus--go to another place. Matt. xiii. 58. Sparta, Tex.
